Tip: register on two exchanges. That way you do not depend on a single platform in case of maintenance, an account freeze or withdrawal issues.

Security: 7 rules before you start

  1. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) with an authenticator app right away, not SMS.
  2. Set an anti-phishing code — it will appear in every genuine email from the exchange.
  3. Turn on a withdrawal address whitelist.
  4. Only open the exchange via trusted links or bookmarks. Fake clone sites are a common way to steal funds.
  5. Complete verification (KYC) straight away — without it, withdrawal limits are restricted.
  6. Do not keep all your funds on an exchange: hold larger amounts in your own wallet.
  7. Check that the exchange is available in your country and follow local tax rules.
